A WILD SPRING AWAITS AT BYRON BAY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
This spring, The Sanctuary is celebrating the season with something a little extra! Springfest is back, a season of wildlife, family fun, special events and new experiences for visitors of all ages.
Set amongst the lush surroundings of the Northern Rivers, the Sanctuary is the perfect place to get outdoors, reconnect with nature and spend a day getting up close with some of Australia’s incredible wildlife.
And this year, there’s even more to discover.
As the school holidays arrive, the Sanctuary comes alive! Springfest kicks off with Walk on the Wild Side Vintage Markets on Saturday 3 October, 8am–3pm.
Wander through a curated collection of vintage treasures, fashion, pony rides, face-painting, live music and finds while enjoying a wild day out amongst the animals.
For young wildlife lovers, the Sanctuary’s popular School Holiday Programs will also be running throughout the holidays for ages 5–18 years. From hands-on wildlife experiences to discovering what it takes to care for the animals behind the scenes, these programs offer kids and teens the chance to learn, explore and get closer to wildlife.
We will be offering a range of fun and creative workshops throughout the season, giving visitors even more reasons to get involved.
There’s plenty to enjoy at the Sanctuary every day. Cool off in the Water Splash Park, discover fascinating facts during Wildlife Keeper Talks & Presentations, and meet some of Australia’s amazing animals through immersive Wildlife Experiences.
Make a day of it with fresh, local offerings from the Sanctuary Café, browse the Gift Shop, Fine Foods & Nut Bar, or let the kids loose on Mini Golf and the Nature Playground. The Sanctuary also offers engaging Education Programs for schools and groups, alongside special and corporate events.
