For the tiny ones (ages 3–5): The Pony Experience is utter delight. Children get to meet the horses up close, groom them, offer them a snack, and enjoy a short, calm pony ride in a safe environment. Hands-on, totally at their pace, built around familiarity, trust, and curiosity – perfectly paced for little people, guided by patience at every step.

For families riding together (ages 4+): Private rides are the way to go, and the Forest Trail is our top pick for families. Winding through towering native tea tree at an easy pace, there’s no rushing, no agenda, just your crew, the trees, and the rhythm of hooves on soft ground. Perfect for families with older kids, or those with just one or two little ones (10 and under) in tow, private rides offer a beautifully unhurried way to explore the trail at your own pace.

For older kids and teens (10+): Group rides kick things up a notch. The 1.5-hour Forest Trail takes riders deep into the tea tree canopy, the two-hour Forest to Beach ride heads all the way to the coast, and the Sunrise or Sunset version? That’s the one teenagers will be telling their friends about. Trust us.
